Burgettstown Area Middle/High School offers College Board sponsored Advanced Placement courses with the intention of providing an avenue for students who wish to challenge themselves with college level rigor and potentially earn credits toward a post-secondary program. The catalog of established AP courses will include Biology, Chemistry, Calculus AB, Statistics, Computer Science A, English Language & Composition, English Literature & Composition, German Language & Culture, Psychology, and United States History. Enrollment in an AP course signifies an agreement to participate in the end of the year exam for potential college credit. Payment of examination fees is the responsibility of the student/family. Payment will be due before the exam date(s). The cost is significantly less than a three credit college course. The College Board requires exam registration in the fall. Any student who drops an AP course after the fall registration will incur an exam cancellation fee per the College Board. |
