Back-to-School Supplies List

Welcome Back, Families and Students!

As we gear up for another incredible school year, we want to help everyone feel prepared
and confident. Below is a simplified list of recommended school supplies for our middle
and high school students.

💡 Please Note: These are just suggestions. If your family needs assistance securing
school supplies this year, please contact our Main Office at 724-947-8100 or
rthomas@burgettstown.k12.pa.us. We have resources available and are more than
happy to help!

Recommended Supply List
● No. 2 pencils and mechanical pencils
● Colored pencils, water-based markers, and highlighters
● Manual pencil sharpener (with a top) and a large pink eraser
● Ballpoint pens (black, blue, and a few red, green, or purple for editing)
● Pencil case
● Spiral-bound or composition notebooks (at least 3)
● Loose-leaf notebook paper (college-ruled)
● Three-ring binders and binder dividers (with pockets)
● Pocket folders (standard and binder-compatible)
● Sticky notes and index cards
● Ruler and a protractor
● Calculator (check with your math teacher before buying specific graphing
calculators)
● Headphones or earbuds (check with teachers for usability in classroom)
● Student calendar or planner
● Sturdy, supportive backpack
● Combination locks (for gym lockers, if needed)
● Craft supplies for home/projects: Glue sticks, white glue, Scotch tape, scissors,
and a mini stapler
● Project supplies: Drawing paper, construction paper, poster board, and a flash
drive
● Home computer/printer supplies: Printer paper and ink cartridges
● Water bottle
● Locker organizer
